BenchBinder – Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy for BenchBinder

Effective Date: January 23, 2026

App Industries (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the BenchBinder iOS and macOS application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information when you use our App.

Information We Collect

Our App does not collect any personal information.

BenchBinder is designed to function entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share personal data, usage data, analytics, or any other information from you or your device to our servers or to any third party.

If we ever change our data practices, we will update this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy disclosures before collecting any personal information.

Data Storage and iCloud Sync

All data you enter into BenchBinder is stored locally on your device. If you are signed into iCloud on your device, your data may also sync to your personal iCloud account, enabling access across your other devices where you are signed into the same iCloud account and have BenchBinder installed.

Important: Your iCloud data is stored in your private iCloud account, which is managed entirely by Apple and subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud account or any data stored within it. Apple’s CloudKit architecture ensures that data in your private database remains accessible only to you.

Third-Party Services

BenchBinder does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, data brokers, or data processing services. No data is shared with third parties, including third-party AI services.

Apple System Services

Depending on your device settings, Apple may collect diagnostic or usage information such as crash reports related to your use of the App. This information is collected and processed by Apple and controlled through your device’s privacy settings. Any diagnostic information we may view through Apple’s developer tools is provided to us in aggregated form and does not identify individual users. For more details, please review Apple’s Privacy Policy.

Data Retention and Deletion

Because we do not collect or store your data on our own servers, there is no data retained by us to delete.

  • Local Data: Data stored on your device remains there until you delete it within the App or uninstall the App.
  • iCloud Data: Data synced to your iCloud account is retained according to your iCloud settings and can be managed through your device’s iCloud storage settings. You may delete BenchBinder data from iCloud by removing the App’s iCloud data in Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.

Your Rights and Choices

You have full control over your data:

  • Disable iCloud Sync: You can disable iCloud sync for BenchBinder in your device’s Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud.
  • Delete Local Data: You can delete your data within the App or by uninstalling the App from your device.
  • Delete iCloud Data: You can remove BenchBinder data from iCloud through your device’s iCloud storage settings.
  • Access Your Data: All data you enter is accessible directly within the App at any time.

Because we do not collect or have access to personal data, there is no data for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf.

Children’s Privacy

BenchBinder does not collect personal information from any users. As a result, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or any other age threshold defined by applicable law (including COPPA or GDPR). The App may be used by individuals of any age.

International Users and Legal Compliance

BenchBinder is designed with privacy by default.

For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, App Industries is the data controller. However, because the App does not process personal data, no controller-level processing occurs.

GDPR Lawful Basis

BenchBinder does not process personal data as defined under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Accordingly, no lawful basis for processing under Article 6 of the GDPR is required.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)

BenchBinder does not collect, sell, share, or disclose personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). As a result, rights such as access, deletion, correction, or opt-out of sale or sharing are not applicable. We do not discriminate against users for exercising privacy rights.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the App or on our website, and the “Effective Date” at the top of this policy will be updated accordingly. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically.
